Proper nutrition is crucial to get the best out of your
equine athlete, broodmare, senior horse or even backyard horse.

Have you noticed that everyone has a different opinion about what to feed your horse?  There are a lot of misconceptions and misinformation passed from horse owner to horse owner; even long-time horsemen and professionals give poor or misguided advice.  At Tacoma Equine we are now offering a service that allows you to have your questions answered one-on-one and have your horse’s current diet and requirements analyzed.  Using a computer-based method, we can formulate a diet that is tailored specifically for your horse as well as being cost effective for you.

A scheduled phone consultation to answer your questions and talk about your horse’s diet, activity level, any concerns you may have, and make recommendations based on your horse and your goals.  $35

An in-depth look at the specifics of your horse (discipline/use, medical conditions, weight issues, etc.) and current diet using a detailed questionnaire.  With a specialized computer program, we are able to exactly analyze the current diet to determine vitamin/mineral balance, energy density, protein levels and potential risks for horses with dietary issues or medical conditions.  Using this information, we can then formulate a ration with improved vitamin/mineral balance, caloric needs, and safe ways to manage any veterinary issues.  Considering that there are many ways to provide a balanced diet for your horse, this program can provide a cost analysis to determine the most effective way to reach your nutritional goals.

$80 per horse; $60 each additional horse on the same premises with similar diets.
