Clover Valley Veterinary Services Clients

Welcome!  We know that the closure of Clover Valley was unexpected and disappointing, but we are here to help.
Medical Records

We have access to Clover Valley's practice database.  If you need copies of records, click here.  Please include the patient name(s) and email address of where you would like them sent.

Prescription Refills

In order to refill or prescribe medications, we need to establish a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR).  We are offering a special introductory exam for the month of July to any client transferring care of their horse, donkey, or mule to us.  Call or text us at 253-535-6999 or email info@tacomaequine.com to get scheduled!

Frequently Asked Questions

How far will you travel and what is the farm call fee?

We have a fairly large practice area that covers all of Pierce county and parts of King, Kitsap and Thurston counties. You can view our service area map under the “About Us” section. The farm call fee covers the cost of our time and fuel to go to farm appointments. The fee will vary depending on what “zone” your farm falls into. You can contact the office for a farm call quote.

Can we come to you?

Yes! We offer haul-in appointments at our hospital and there is a nominal haul-in fee.

How much will my visit cost?

We are always more than happy to provide you with an estimate – and urge clients to get one prior to their visit or to budget for work needed later in the year.

How can I pay for my visit?

Payment at the time of service is expected and we accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept CareCredit, which offers extended payment terms (typically 6 month, no interest).

Can I keep a card on file in case of emergency?

Yes, if you would like to keep a credit card on file with us, please fill out this Credit Card Authorization and forward it to the office.

Do I have to be at my appointment?

While we prefer and encourage owners to be present at their horse’s appointment, we are able to provide services without them as each doctor travels with a veterinary assistant. We would just need to know specifically what you would like done, where your horse is located, and payment arrangements have been made ahead of time. We would also prefer that you be available by phone in the event that the doctor needs to reach you during the appointment.
